Dunkin has just launched 41 vegan donuts in Belgium
This week the international fast food chain added Dunkin 41 vegan donut flavors to his menu in Belgium. The new flavors include simple creations such as Original Glazed, Pistachio and Cinnamon Swirl. filled varieties such as Double Stuffed Strawberry, Sugared Raspberry, and Cinnamon Jam; along with inventive creations inspired by the cookie monster (complete with googly eyes), candy rings (in strawberry red and strawberry ring) and a vegan donut decorated to resemble a bee with salted pretzel antennas; and many more.
“Yes, your prayers have been answered,” Dunkin ‘Belgium announced on social media. “As of today, you can order more than 40 vegan donuts.” The vegan donut menu can be ordered via Dunkins delivery app and will be available in Belgian stores in May.
Vegan at Dunkin
While customers in Belgium now have more than three dozen vegan flavors to choose from, a vegan donut must still be available in Dunkin stores in the US – but that could change soon. Last year, Dunkin CEO David Hoffman said the chain continues to “study” and “look closely” at a viable vegan donut option. A petition Animal Outlook currently has more than 21,000 signatures for a vegan donut at Dunkin, which is organized by the animal rights group Animal Outlook.
In the meantime, Dunkin has added more herbal updates to its US menu. Last year, the chain launched the Beyond Sausage Breakfast Sandwich at all 9,000 Dunkin locations across the country, which can be made vegan by omitting the cheese and egg. In January 2021, Dunkin launched the vegetarian Southwest Veggie Power Breakfast Sandwich in participating locations across the country for a limited time. The sandwich consists of a vegan MorningStar Farms Black Bean Patty, a protein omelette, white milk-based cheddar cheese and is served on a thin multigrain bun. To order the vegan sandwich, Dunkin suggests removing the omelette and cheese and replacing the thin multigrain bun (which contains honey) with vegan bread options like an English muffin or bagel. In February 2021, the chain continued its plant-based journey with the introduction of Dunkin ‘Avocado Toast – toasted sourdough bread made with mashed avocado, sea salt, and black pepper, which is then sprinkled with everything bagel seasoning made from sesame and poppy seeds, onion, and garlic.
In the drinks department, Dunkins Menu is also evolving around the addition of Planet Oat’s oat milk, now available at all locations as part of Dunkins new Iced Oatmilk Latte, as well as a variety of hot and cold drinks and as a substitute for any milk option (additional charges may apply attack).
