Greta Thunberg receives 1 million euros and donates the entire amount to groups that are fighting the climate crisis
Vegan local weather activist Greta Thunberg was awarded this yr’s Gulbankian Prize for Humanity, an award that acknowledges people and teams for his or her influence within the struggle towards local weather change. In 2019, Thunberg was chosen for the Nordic Council’s environmental award, which was endowed with a money prize of USD 54,000. The younger activist declined the award and urged the world’s governments to take extra measures to fight the local weather disaster.
