Kim Kardashian is now a vegan cooking teacher. Really.
Reality star and business mogul Kim Kardashian West will add a “vegan cooking teacher” to her résumé this year during her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s second year Poosh your wellbeing Festival. On May 1st, Kardashian West will pamper guests with a cooking demonstration of their favorite plant-based dishes, and Sister Kendall Jenner will be hosting a happy hour with her tequila brand 818. “I can’t wait for Kim to show us how to make one of her favorite plant-based recipes,” said Kardashian People. “And now, happy hour with Kendall is sure to be fun … pray for me because we’re going to have tequila.”
This year the Poosh Festival will be a virtual event with a 90s theme. General admission is free. Along with the Kardashian / Jenner clan, health, wellness and beauty experts will be attending the event. “Having my sisters alongside experts and thought leaders is going to be like a day with friends – the kind of friends who can teach you,” Kardashian said. The Poosh Festival also offers VIP passes ($ 190 per ticket) that include a live meet and greet with Kourtney Kardashian and a bucket bag filled with products from vegan brand Beyond Meat, beauty brand Youth to the People, and more.
Is Kim Kardashian and Family Vegan?
Kardashian West’s cooking demonstration showcases the skills the 40-year-old star has learned during her transition to plant-based products in recent years. In 2019, Kardashian West began removing animal products from their diet. “I eat everything plant-based when I’m at home,” she told millions of Instagram followers. Shortly thereafter, the star offered fans a peek into her colossal kitchen, pantry, and walk-in refrigerator, displaying a variety of fruits and vegetables, rows of plant-based milk, and an entire freezer full of Beyond Sausages. In January 2021, Kardashian West went plant-based for the second time, bringing her sister Khloé Kardashian, who threw away meat while pregnant with True Thompson in 2018, for the ride during a so-called “Sister Boot Camp” challenge.
Other members of the entrepreneurial family have launched vegan product lines, including Kylie Jenner (who launched the vegan skin care line Kylie Skin in 2019 after looking into veganism in 2017); Kendall Jenner (who debuted vegan oral care brand Moon in 2019); and mom Chris Jenner (who worked with model Chrissy Tiegan last month to launch the cruelty-free cleaning line Safely).
