Krispy Kreme launches UK’s first vegan donut
International donut chain Krispy Kreme is launching its first vegan donut, available for pre-order on December 21st and delivery to locations across the UK from January 5th. The new donut is a bespoke vegan recipe from the chain’s Original Glazed variety and is being launched in time for Veganuary – a campaign that challenges people to go vegan for the month of January and beyond.
“We’re excited to expand our range of irresistibly original donuts with the launch of our first vegan offering, exclusively available in the UK,” said Louise Direito, Krispy Kreme UK and Ireland’s Director of Innovation. “We know January is a time when many people try new lifestyles and rise to the challenge of creating a plant-based donut that is just as delicious as the original, without compromise.”
The new Original Glazed Vegan Donut – priced at £ 10.45 per dozen versus the non-vegan version – will also be available in Hotlight stores, where customers can buy a hot, freshly made donut every day from 7pm to 8pm can.
