New vegan takeaway documentary combines animal husbandry and deforestation in the Amazon
New vegan documentary Take away is now out there on Amazon and iTunes. Produced by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Michal Siewierski, musician and vegan activist Moby, and philanthropist Peter Eastwood, the movie reveals that meat consumption and company greed are the explanations for the forest fires within the Amazon and the rising price of deforestation in Brazil – the world’s largest exporter of beef . The movie reveals how these, along with political corruption, create situations that irreparably harm our ecosystem. “The mainstream media protection of the catastrophic destruction of the Amazon does not paint the entire image,” stated Siewierski. “With Take awayI wished to point out how the choices we make about what we eat and devour, 1000’s of miles away, immediately have an effect on the rainforest. “
The movie accommodates interviews with famend lecturers, politicians and activists corresponding to former Congressman Henry Waxman; Neal Barnard, MD, of the Medical Committee for Responsible Medicine;; Glenn Hurovitz, CEO of Mighty earth;; Adriana Charoux from Greenpeace;; and Lucas Alvarenga from Mercy for animals.
