The goal is to bring vegan oat milk ice cream bars to market, and you can get them for under $ 5
On April 5th, retail giant Target will launch 700 sweet and savory products, including new vegan ice cream options, under its new own-brand Favorite Day. Products were developed by Target’s in-house team of food scientists and recipe developers to provide customers with indulgent options at affordable prices – everything in the line costs less than $ 15.
Favorite Day’s new vegan ice cream pint options are similar to those previously offered under the in-house Archer Farms brand (to be replaced by Favorite Day) and include seven flavors: vanilla cake and cookie dough, mocha and almond fudge, strawberry and fudge , Cashew caramel, vanilla pod, caramel fudge brownie, and peanut butter & chocolate. However, the Favorite Day line expands Target’s vegan ice cream selection with new oat milk-based bars (a pack of 4, retail for $ 4.49) in three flavors: peanut, vanilla salty caramel, and forest fruit.
Expansion of the in-house vegan options at Target
In 2019, Target launched its own flagship brand, Good & Gather, under which some vegan products such as oat, coconut and almond milk, meatless chicken tenders and vegan beef patties and products are offered. “We are very excited to build on the success of Good & Gather and the strength of Target’s food and beverage business by introducing our new Favorite Day brand,” said Rick Gomez, Executive Vice President and Chief Food and Beverage Officer, Target . “The Favorite Day is based on the guests’ insights and was developed by our talented Target team. It is a sweet and savory addition that tastes fantastic, makes the little moments of enjoyment in life even sweeter and continues to differentiate the Target brand portfolio. “
Outside of its own line, Target also offers vegan ice cream options from Ben & Jerry, NadaMoo !, Daiya, So Delicious, Halo Top and many more.
