Vegan hot dog shop opens in Seattle
Seattle, WA-based vegan food truck based in April Bicycle dogs will open a permanent stationary location. Cycle Dogs will take over the space of the former vegan restaurant No Bones Beach Club, which had to be closed due to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. To begin with, the new restaurant is offering a slightly expanded version of its food truck menu with fully loaded vegan hot dogs and burgers. “We’re gradually shifting our menu to something that is better suited to a restaurant than a food truck,” Keaton Tucker, co-owner of Cycle Dogs, told VegNews. “With COVID things will be a little different again. We hope that the new menu can take full effect this summer. ”
An extended menu
The new menu focuses on American home-style cooking, with more pampering entrees such as fried mushrooms with beer, fried onion flowers, loaded french fries, and nachos. hearty salads; new sides like Baked Buffalo Mac and Cheese, Coleslaw and Green Beans; and homemade desserts like fried oreo and funnel cakes. And for brunch, Cycle Dogs offer migas, all-you-can-eat pancakes with changing flavors and chickpea omelets.
Cycle Dogs is planning a Kickstarter campaign to help cover the cost of the expansion.
